An exhibition featuring exciting young artist Qu Muzi (the second place winner of Chinese Art Prize 2007). The artist’s work is edgy and offers a duality of tranquility and tension. Most notable for her exceptional skill and comprehensive use of light and dark colors, the artist creates shadowy depths and bold moods in her rich oil paintings. Severe lines and angles are balanced by softer and rounder images, and her figures seem simultaneously free and suppressed.
