张剑是一名甚少在国内公开场合露面的艺术家，他在慢且悠长的创作旅途中用画布和油彩构建了自己的抽象世界；在那里，灰色系因精神华丽而丰满绚丽，孤独因到了极致而变得高贵且清澈。
张剑自2004年以来由德国三月空间独家代理，作为一名优秀且少产的中国艺术家，他的作品深受欧美藏家青睐。三月空间选在2008年8月期间在中国北京隆重推出张剑的个展，共计15幅作品，是精选其2004年至2008年间的代表创作。本次展览将在今年9月份上海双年展和上海国际艺术博览会期间在上海南岸艺术中心巡回。
The painter Zhangjian is focussing on abstract art. Our eyes are always looking for something to recognize in paintings - things we know already. The artist goes the very brave way to offer us unknown experiences to discover. A sort of abstract landscape - our mind starts to walk and we are creating a story - Contemplation.
