后高清时代的香港摄影群像
摄影涵盖我们生活的点线面，它更可在不同平台，如印刷、互联网、艺术馆等提供交流讯息作用。香港踏入高清视讯广播已近一年，画质的提升改变大众阅读影像的习惯：高解像宽屏幕电视宛如一幅巨大摄影作品让我们更专注构图每一细节，整套增强眼球活动的观赏行为逆转了视频广播的线性时空，把流光逝影凝固成一独立静止画面。这潜移默化的视觉鉴赏经验将会带动沉寂的艺术摄影作正面发展，在迎向后高清时代莅临之际，我们要承先启后，由认识香港当代摄影着眼。
《影像当代香港摄影展》从历史脉络及摄影多样的风格和形式取向，展出当代四十多位最杰出及活跃的本地摄影和新媒体艺术家所表达的香港影像，约一百五十幅作品，范畴包括纪实、报导、肖像、概念、混合、装置和新媒体。此展览取材有关香港本土近六十年不同议题，包括城市保育、旧区贫民、街头抓拍、消费文化、政治生态和私摄影等，以多元的视觉语言使观众从崭新的方法及媒介去了解身处之地，借着系谱形式有秩序整理艺术家想象中的香港面貌，进而提高市民对香港的感知而引发民间更大创意。
与亚洲其它国家相比，姗姗来迟的香港艺术摄影刚踏进青年期，正处于选择前途的焦虑当中；《影像当代香港摄影展》博览群像、集思广益，盼能呈现一个开放式的分类图谱供日后研究。近期的金融海啸把大部分财产席卷一空，回归俭朴恰巧是参予文化活动的良辰，让我们以击浪青春的姿态拥抱那未知的时代！
视艺掇英08/09专题展览计划
《影像香港》摄影及新媒体艺术展由pH5摄影连动、不一建筑、香港摄影记者协会和黑点联合统筹，是「视艺掇英专题展览」系列的第3个展览计划。「视艺掇英专题展览」计划是香港艺术发展局与康乐及文化事务署合作主办的活动，透过举行立体(陶瓷、雕塑、装置)、中国书法/篆刻、中国画、设计及建筑、摄影及新媒体和西方平面艺术共6个专题展，向观众展示香港当今视觉艺术创作的概况。计划于2007年展初公开征集计划书，首个专题展览是由艺术公社筹办的《当代共融》立体及装置艺术展，其次是甲子书学会筹办的《道艺融通》─当代名家书法篆刻展都已经在2007年10月至12月期间顺利举行。至于计划的第4个展览《香港.水.墨.色-----2009中国绘画展》则会在2009年1月在香港中央图书馆1至5号展览厅举行。

Hong Kong Photography in the Post Hi-Definition Era
The versatility of photography in our daily lives will further enhance within the Hi-Definition television broadcast; there is a propensity for us to freeze-frame hyper sharp video as single photographs, paying attention to image details apart from the script delivered. These subconscious activities leading to better connoisseurship of still photographic image will rekindle the recent stagnated development of Art Photography in Hong Kong. It is vital to acknowledge the history of this specific art practice before embrace ourselves into the upcoming era.
“Imaging Hong Kong: Contemporary Photography Exhibition” offers a clear picture of Hong Kong Art Photography development. With over 40 photographers and 150 works about our city since the middle of last century, it includes various aspects of photography from social documentary, photo-journalism, portraitures, conceptual art, photo installation to the mixed and new media. Thematic explorations of Hong Kong from past 60 years in the areas of urban renewal, poor people from old regions, snap shooting, consumerism, politics and subjective photography are categorized and addressed. This exhibition highlights the artistic imagination of Hong Kong from selected calibers; it is hoped the exhibits will enlighten the public’s interest to our social environment and encourage their passion to photographic practices or appreciation in the near future.
Visual Arts Thematic Exhibition 08/09 Project
“Imaging Hong Kong- Contemporary Photography Exhibition” is the third exhibition project of the “Visual Arts Thematic Exhibition Project” series, which is co-presented by PH5 Photo Group, Edge Architects, Hong Kong Press Photographers Association and The Photocrafters. “Visual Arts Thematic Exhibition Project” is a large-scale visual arts activity presented by Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Leisure and Cultural Department. The project consisting of 6 thematic visual arts exhibitions, including 3D(Ceramics, Sculpture, Installation), Chinese Calligraphy, Photography & New Media, Chinese Painting and Western Arts-2D, with an aim to showcase representative works of local artists in recent years. The Council invited proposals since the early 2007 and the project started in October 2007 with “HarmoNow” 3D & Installation Art Exhibition arranged by Artists Commune Limited, then followed with “The Harmonization of Philosophical ways and Calligraphy- Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Seal-Engraving by Contemporary Artists” co-presented by the Jiazi Society of Calligraphy in December 2007. The forth exhibition project- “Hong Kong˙Water˙Ink˙Colour- Exhibition of Chinese Paintings 2009” will be launched in January 2009 at Hong Kong Central Library 1-5 Galleries.
